Goodbye folks.

As many of you now know, the Friday the 13th Forum is no more.

This is a place for you to put your thoughts and goodbyes, and also to list your contact information for people to reach you through other means (AIM, MySpace, etc.).

It is the end of an era. We wish you all well.

Lots of love for all of you. I can only try to sum up in words what the community, yes community - not website, has done for me personally. I can never thank B&B enough. I do not exaggerate with those words.

There's just so much I could say.

Anyway, hope to see you all around.

I've been a member of the board since 1997. During that time, I met alot of cool people.

I'm sure we'll find a new home, and hopefully we'll travel as a pack.

Thanks to everybody who made the board what it was.

Thank you, Blake and Brenna. It was the BEST board on the net.

Brenna & Blake crafted and managed the best horror community on the web. Period. Out of our fanboyism rose lasting friendships. And I write movies and books because of this community. Our generation has had a really unique aspect in the Internet, and I can say that one website was a part of my growing up & my life.

So there's that. 6 years. Our friendships will undoubtedly last beyond this, which is a testament to the site - and that there explains why the site's loss is such a bitch.

My website is empirenovel.com
My MySpace is myspace.com/thac

I encourage our many creative members with visions of horror to join the community at Permuted Press.

An' you ain't seen the last o' the Man In Black neither

Good Day

The Friday the 13th Films site was a very special one to me. I haven't been an active member for probably half a decade, but I remember spending quite a bit of time there in the late 90s. I wasn't Notoriousaurus or Noto then, I was Jasondog and at one point Jasondawg. I don't remember what the origin of that name was, but it just doesn't matter.

When I first was visiting this site, I remember fondly talking about the series and other horror films. At the time I first discovered it, I hadn't even seen the entire Friday saga. Because of where I lived, Friday the 13th Part 3 was elusive. This was well before DVD, and none of the video stores in the area even had it available for rent and as a high school student, travel wasn't an option. But when I was an active member, I greatly remember finally getting a copy, and discussing this virginal experience with the other superfans, who no doubt were living vicariously through someone experiencing it for the first time.

I owe this site a great deal. Not only was it one of the first socially interactive sites that I spent any amount of time with, but it also encouraged me to improve my writing. Today, I use that skill as a DVD reviewer, and I'm currently in the early stages of writing my own book. Hopefully it will see release some day.

The funny thing about this site's passing is that, just yesterday I achieved a long dream of mine - owning every one-sheet from the series. This was completed with the axe-in-pillow poster from the first film. I was incredibly excited about this, and it made me want to come back to the site to see what exciting changes the owners had made.

Sadly, unlike Jason, the site that practically welcomed me to the online world was gone, due to an unceremonious technical glitch at that.

I will always remember the site and how it has unknowingly influenced my identity. I want to thank everyone involved with every incarnation of the site for loading it with such heart and talent. It will be more than missed.

I wish I got to know all of you better. So many instantly recognizable names, while my old handle is long forgotten. I hope to see you all out and about on other forums. If you have MySpace, feel free to send me an invite. There is little I love more than talking film.

Best,

For eight years, I have been a member of the Friday the 13th Forum. I have turned to you all for friendship when I had nowhere else to turn. I have looked to you all for advice when I needed it. There was something special about the Friday the 13th Forum. A forum is nothing without the people, and all the people who I have had the pleasure of meeting through this board have been outstanding.

There were points in my life over the past eight years, when, to be honest, my only friends were the people who I could count on to post every day and keep chat alive every night. For many years, this place was my home. I usually lurked on the sidelines, but I was always there, enjoying myself. And I will always remember those nights spent laughing it up in the chatroom.

There have been a lot of mean people to go through the forum, but they haven't lasted, and ultimately, I think we look back on all our banned members, even the most obnoxious, with a sense of nostalgia. I will always regard all aspects of the forum with nostalgia.

I haven't been a very active member of the forum recently, and it's something I regret now. Losing the forum is akin to losing a part of myself. For eight years, the forum has been an important and constant part of my life. It was more than a place to discuss my interests with anonymous others. You all had names. You were all people. And I wish you had all been my friends.

I had the pleasure of becoming friends with a few of the regular forum members. I had the pleasure of meeting some of you on a few occasions. Camp 2 was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and it is something that I will always be thankful for. The end of the forum means that the likelihood of another large gathering has been reduced to nearly none. But it has inspired me to hope for it all the more.

Those of you who I was lucky enough to get to know, I thank you for your friendship. Those of you who I was not so lucky to ever become acquainted with, I wish I had, and I still can. If I have one regret about the past eight years on the message board, it would be that I did not participate enough.

I wish I had been friendlier, less shy. There are so many members who seemed so cool to me, but I never made an effort to get to know them. I truly regret that above all--all the missed opportunities at what could have been excellent friendships. The death of the forum means that I will never have those opportunities again.

For all of you who I got to know, and for all of you who I never got to know but should have, please keep in touch. I will try to stay in contact as well. Add me on MySpace. Add me on Facebook. Instant Message me on AIM. The fact that fridaythe13thfilms.com and fridaythe13thforum.com are no more is very sad. But to lose all of these friendships as a result would be a tragedy. Let's just stay in contact.

Myers, Michael here. Not very active in the forums but it was always part of my online "routine". Spent many hours reading threads and commenting when I had something important to say (which wasn't often). But I want it to be known that the 6 years I was a member of the forum (since August 2001) the forum was a big part of me. No matter what the topic there always seemed to be a thread about it somewhere. It's incredibly sad for me that it's over. It was truly my favorite website on the internet. Even though the past few years I have had a decline in my interest in horror movies there was always other things discussed. It was my "one stop shop" for everything discussion online. I'll truly miss it.

i wish the people running it the best with whatever they do next and to the members, it was nice to see a place where it wasnt constant bitching and attacking people because of their opinions(unlike other sites that start with an A)

sure i've witnessed some little jabs and arguing but overall it was a very fan friendly, hell people friendly place.

it will be missed. good luck to everyone. :)

Really wouldn't be an end of an era without a comment by me ;)!

I came around the Friday the 13th site late '98 or so, about the time Blake first acquired it from Matt Dennis. Friday the 13th.com at the time. Soon lost when a Chinese dude bought it out. I think that's how it went. I immediately bumped heads with members Wynn_99 and Crazyralph and soon others in the chat. Eventually though things smoothed out and I became a regular. For awhile...

Around late 2000, fellow member and buddy Splatterhouse and myself decided to go on a tear and fight with anyone we could on the message board. "The Nerd Wars"...Or so we called them. Fellow member JP joined us as well and we had many laughs and left behind quite a legacy that members of that time period still remember. Eventually Slatterhouse and I were banned. And went on to talk allot of shit from behind the scenes until that got boring and I didn’t really look at the site for awhile after that…

Moving on, I always enjoyed the reading and horror movie discussion though, so I eventually ended up “sneaking” back on and signed up under new names in order to read and discuss horror. Explosive Joe, MJC, The Knowledgeable One, Ekim and more recently though rarely used, ManhandlingBeast. Banned each time of course ;)...Usually either because I got caught or got in a right with someone. The usual for me ;)…

Being 24 years of age now, I look back and realize there were some good people on that board. And B&B did a good job and creating a great horror movie internet based community for people. I may not have dug the other aspects of the board, but I always dug the horror chat. And I'll miss reading peoples thoughts and opinions on the Jason films.

All in all I take away some great memories of my time spent on Friday the 13th films. And I made many good friends throughout my time there as well. Some that I’ve lost contact with over the years and some that I still talk to today. I can say that I’m still in contact with Thorn (from back in 1999, never carried on past then), JP, Splatterhouse, Luigi, and from time to time UberKruger. And on a RARE RARE occasion, DedKid.

I wish the rest of you guys luck in whatever you pursue in your lives. For those curious, I am going to be attending culinary arts in the coming year to become a chef. I am not sure if I will pursue the film industry again, it’s something that has been put on the back burner for now. But who knows what the future holds and I do honestly hope each and every one of you find your place in life and have a successful and enjoyable existence doing whatever you end up doing :)…

For anyone ever wanting to hit me up for whatever reason, I’ll even leave my contact info below.

I hope in the future the community can come back together on a new F13 forum. Just because the forum as we know it is gone does not mean that we should leave it dead.

A truly sad day it is; F13 was hallowed ground for some of the most intelligent discussion of horror a small time curmudgeon like me could find.

Wonderful memories include a very spirited discussion of remakes from some very openminded f13 members, judas constant berating of singer and roth, the countdown to the inevitable letdown that will be Rob Zombie's Halloween, and the continued decline of the Saw franchise, which wasn't very good from the get go.

Great stuff guys.

I've been around these forums in one form or another since July of 1998. I was only a really active poster from around Feb 2004 to June 2005 give or take, but I remember so many things. Toasting virtual beers to people, laughing at certain goobers who showed up on the forums, celebrating B&B's wedding, just sharing in some good times over the last nine years. Now where do we go for our fix? The Myspace group is kinda dead, so where else is there? Maybe we should take over the Halloween boards!

My question to B&B is, is this it for you with web pages or are there plans in progress for something new?

Grizzlyman here.

I joined the F13 Forum in August of 2004, and to learn that now it is gone and will not be coming back is very sad for me indeed. I cannot remember a more generous internet forum that not only paid a special tribute to the ever popular Friday the 13th horror franchise, but freely allowed members to come on a have discussions about personal problems, horror films, TV shows, experiences, life, careers and dreams. The many threads I have read concerning the issues people have really makes you wonder that these are people who have trouble in life as we all do, and the fact that they came to this popular message board to tell strangers their problems and how to get advice to slove them, I think is actually quite special. This is something that I am very grateful for, due to the fact that over the past recent years I have had my share of own personal battles and tragedy and people here gave me that 'helping hand' to make sure I survived. Since August 2004, I personally enjoyed the horror film discussions, giving members' advice on their issues that they had and enjoyed playing the now infamous Person Above You Thread, in which I served as the leader of the thread for two straight years! The LB13 Untouchables and The many friends I have made on here: Specialkilla, A Remin D, MadManMarz, Titan, Got Blood, Girlychaos, Mr. Undertaker, JOE, Shyscreamer83, Jason's Buddy, DevilsXHarvest, Monkay, Shorty, Mjollner, AeroKissFloyd, D-Intelligent, PeterBaker, Banana Rama and I am sure there are many others and even friends that are now film partners such as Swahili (also soon to be Executive Vice President of Film Regions International). This really has been "the place" for me and a place to really come as 'therapy' at times and to meet and interact and have fun with people I really call friends, despite the long distances. This past year, I was not as active due to personal issues and work/college interference, but the Friday the 13th Forum is a place that will remain with me for a long, long time.

Wow. I can't believe the forum is gone. I'm beyond stunned at this point, as I'd been going there off and on since '98; in fact, it was the first message board I ever joined when I got the internet. I'd only just begun posting regularly again earlier this year, and I regret that I didn't post more often before. It's a classic case of not knowing what you have until it's gone, no? It's a bit odd being so attached to an internet forum, but I can honestly say my visits were usually the highlight of my day, and now that's all gone; things will never be the same, indeed.

Hopefully someone will get another forum up and running and we can migrate. If not, it's been a hell of a ride, and I'll miss all you guys. Thanks to Blake and Brenna are in order as well, as without them none of this would have been possible.

Until we meet again,

The Dream Master

Darth Reaper here.

This is profoundly depressing. Fridaythe13thfilms.com was the first message board I ever joined. I thought it would be around forever. I think I took it a bit for granted, and now there are people that I'm not sure how to get in contact with. I always thought that the information would be where it always was if I needed it.

If Blake and Brenna ever feel ambitious enough to start another website I hope they'll let us know. I'm sure we'd all be happy to join them again.

For anyone who might like to know, my e-mail address is darthreaper20@hotmail.com.

JP Here ---

Man... has it been that long? I think I found the MB back in late '99 or so, definitely when it was still Star Blvd style. I was dying for FvsJ or any new F13 news, so I scoured the net for anything I could find.

As much as I liked to knock it... F13films.com was a great distraction whenever I needed a break from reality. In less then 5 minutes I could 'leave' work or school, and manage to have conversations with people across the country... and across the world (and lets face it... usually piss them off). :-D

Not much more to say then that, I guess... had a blast with guys like Thac, Wolf, JVY, Dedkid, Splatterhouse, and so many more. Hell, I think I even got Brenna to see things my way once or twice.

Anyway guys... farewell.

I really never thought I'd take the loss of a website this hard...

This has been a huge part of my life for the last 8 years. How many people can say they've been a part of an online community that long? I've signed in almost every day since registering so long ago... I joined as a 14 year old without a girlfriend... and I leave as a father... The forums have been around in the background through a lot of people here growing up so Brenna and Blake- thank you.

I'm not gonna name the people whose posts I particularly looked forward to reading, it owuld take far too long.

I'm sorry to see this forum go. It was amazing and always worth checking out for cool discussions. And I've been around it for almost a decade(sometime in '99 I discovered the site),which is pretty amazing.

This is truly sad and I wish it didn't have to end. But I guess that's life, and this amazing community should try to create another great forum on the web. It's like Cheers closing down. The place you could always go to,and just relax, and enjoy yourself with a diverse range of friends. It certainly will never be the same again!

B&B did an excellent job with the site and keeping it running for years. It was the only F13th site around that I actually felt was worth reading and discussing on actively. And it's all because of the cool range of people that posted and loved the series and horror and more just as much as myself.

Where will we go to talk about F13 and ONLY F13? THeres no where else, and once we get a new movie, we'll have no where to really go, a place to call "home".

Grave Digger here,

Words fail to describe how completely and utterly depressed I am at the moment. I have such fond memories of the Friday The 13th board and it was a huge part of my adolescence. I'll never forget the many discussions and topics that I took part in, where we discussed just about everything that you can imagine. I joined in June 2001 just a few days after my fourteenth birthday, and I was always an active poster. I'll never forget my experiences on the board, and to me it was much more than just a horror film message board, it was a place to socialize. There have been countless times where the members have been supportive of each other during difficult times (myself included) and it was one of the most well-maintained and enjoyable online communities that I was ever apart of. I've been on many other online message boards before, but the F13 board was always my favorite, for reasons that are too numerous to list here.

I'm so sorry for everything that happened, for the lost threads and posts that can never be recovered and for the memories that I'll remember forever. If I ever live to be a hundred or even a thousand years old, I'll always remember the F13 board and will always cherish it.

Farewell everyone, may you all take care and be happy. I hope we can all keep in touch.

Wow, after 8 years of coming to the forum on and off, it's quite the shock to read this information. From Durst Ghoulie to BERNERSKI, Shaye to Jack Connor and don't forget everyone's (errr...) favorite, ferdy, the F13 forum and chat were the best places to go online. Makes me wish certain past events wouldn't have occurred and my recent change of heart would have happened a little earlier.

People in chat like Drew, cycko, Wes, S-10, Emma, ToJJ, Jeno, Meeky, Dizzy_D (where the fuck did you go, anyways?), David Green AKA Horra, Tally, Thac, and so many more great people kept me from being bored, and what a time it was. The Freddy vs. Jason times at the forum were beyond great.

I wish all of you the best, especially the people I battled with. You are all 1337 h4X0r5 to me.

First of all, I'd be remiss if I didn't wonder aloud just when the hell I got a Blogger account and why I'm already logged in.

Second, I'd be even remissier if I didn't acknowledge that I will NEVER forget the night I pissed myself laughing in chat when Titan entered, and Doog greeted him with "HI, TAINT," and the the hilarity that ensued afterwards when John attempted to call me a "cunt brain" and ended up with "cuntbrian." Cuntbrian, Cuntron, Cuntlarry. It's like an obscene Three Stooges...or some kind of soft-core A-Team.

Anyway, I tried to stay pretty low-key and as un-jerkish as possible since I came back, since I know I failed (and hard) at that previously. I don't know how well I did this time around, but I had taken some time to mellow out and grow up a bit, and can only hope it paid off. In fact, this is probably the most I've said since then. My. Lucky you.

So, yeah. I doubt anyone wants my Myspace or anything, but it's this: http://www.myspace.com/57495086 You can go there and do whatever it is you do on Myspace...look at cute girls or whatever.

Anyway. It's been mad real. Have a good one, you guys. ...well...more than one...have good ones.

Dogmatic Insanity here...

Wow. Just... Wow.

It's funny, isn't it? Many years ago, Blake 'n Brenna started a website to discuss a dead horror movie franchise that was mostly reviled by America and with it, a message board for discussion. Who would've thought that it would elvole into what it had? It got to the point where there was much more being discussed than our boy Jason. This was not so much a message board but a community. A therapy group. An ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. I used to be on the board multiple times a day, and while that died down once I didn't have a regular internet connection, it would still be the first place I'd go once I got to one.

I've met some of the most interesting people through this board. Brenna, Blake, Dave, Sikbert, JEANS, Dooger, Taffer, Dinardi, Hood, Peter Baker, and acountless others. The board may be gone, but it will live on in all of us.

Jeezus, I busted out the cheese wheel there at the end, eh?

French Friday here.

What an horrible news, especially when you just went back home from holidays and couldn't have post on the board for 2 weeks. That's like not being able to say a last goodbye to an old friend before his death. Happily, this blog is there for that.

So, this is the end of, what, 9 years with the community ? I was there since 1997 or 1998 I guess. My first MB and my always favorite one. At the time when Jason X was just an idea and FvJ in development hell.

Goodbye to the board where I was able to discuss and create all my amazing theories about F13 and other horror movies. People like Thac, James Thomas Jeans, Rich, Dream Master, Dre, Tall Man, and too many others I can't name all of them, you all helped me during these 9 years. The F13 board was the home I was going back almost every day, to discuss everything.

It's also there that I was able to train my english everyday.

Now, where to go to discuss AVP2, Resident Evil Extinction, RZ's Halloween, Jurassic Park 4, the obvious future F13 remake and the next Halloween 2...?

First, MEG at New Line announced dead, and now it's the F13 forum. What hell happens this summer ?

If someone here creates a new forum to replace our dead one, just e-mail me, as I want to be part of it and continue the adventures :

renaud.berille@wanadoo.fr

JTJeans, I hope we will fight again about Resident Evil, AVP and Paul WS Anderson some day in the future. ^^ And I hope all will go better with your back too.

To every member of the F13 forum community, to Blake & Brenna, goodbye and good luck.

Renaud, aka French Friday.

I have been on the forun since 1999 looking for info about a crazy rumour I had heard about a movie called Jason X.
I have been on literally every day since.
It wasn't just a horror website, it was a community as others have said.
I rarely go to other forums because Fridaythe13thforum was so diverse in the info and the people there.
I'm really going to miss the place, it was an online home for many people.
A deep thank you to Blake and Brenna for starting and keeping the site going and to them and all of the mods who worked their asses off keeping things and people in line.
It was a tough job sometimes and I didn't envy them.
You should all be proud of the community that you created and helped maintain. I've never seen a forum quite like it.
I'll miss the place. As far as I'm concerned the internet is now broken.

This is TheShowstoppa. Eric to most, Show to others. Today is a sad, sad day of loss.

I cannot believe that when I stumbled upon this lovely site WAY back in the day (that was a Wednesday by the way) that I would have stuck with this forum the longest. I was one of the few remaining from the Starblvd forums to stick around for as long as the board was around. I can truly say that I'm beyond words as to what to say. I'm upset and saddened that the forum I visited the most is finally gone. No other forum on the internet had as many different parts dedicated to so many different things, and I doubt there will be another one for quite some time.

For those of you whom I do not already have on my AIM, my SN is BlueDevilsIN. My myspace is www.myspace.com/theshowstoppatmnt. I will greatly miss you all because there will be no other forum on the internet where as many people as us can come and debate and "live" in the kind of harmony that B&B instilled in us.

To all of those who I have met at both Camps, party on duders.... Party on! Hopefully some day we can all come together one more time to do some destruction. To Blake and Brenna: thanks for everything. The memories, the fun times and naturally the camps. You have literally been in a lot of pepole's lives more than you know.

Hopefully someone as dedicated and awesome can follow in their footsteps... but until then, Farewell friends!

WTF?! Although I've only been on this forum since early April (Friday April 13th to be precise!), I had become quite attached to the whole community. This was the largest and most comprehensive website/forum I had ever run across, a testament to B&B's devotion to it over the years, and the contributions in the form of thoughtful discussion from so many. All things must come to an end eventually, but preferably in a non-abrupt manner. Like many, I regret not contributing more, I guess I took a little bit for granted, that this site seemed so large and rock-solid, that it would always be there. I am doubly sad, because I had been too busy to participate over the last two weeks or so, and I was looking forward to catching up on all the threads that I was interested in. Kind of like when my favorite pizza joint here in Denver closed a couple of months ago, and I wished that I had got in just one last experience (I know, bad analogy, this forum was so much more than a pizza parlor, but similar sentiments are evoked). Well, thanks everyone, for a brief yet profound experience. I hope somebody in the near future will be able to cobble together a forum of similar scope, I'll be there!

I'm searching for the pic of a tattoo that was on the site. I didn't save it and I'm really sad now cause I want to have a tattoo like that. If somebody's got a picture of it saved, please e-mail it to me szaltax@gmx.net
The tattoo showed Jason pulling some guy after him, you just see the leg. There was also blood from the guy running down a tree next to Jason. It was such a great scene!

Hi everyone...I'm really sad that the Forum is gone for good!

Even though I had only been a member for 6 months, I can honestly say I've met a lot of incredible people there and it truly felt like home to me...I'm missing it very much.

I remember when I first joined it and was "afraid" of posting and everything. A lot of people sent their "welcomes" and I realized how cool the board was. I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who made it so special and unique...

Wheatjedi...you told me I should try and post at "Personal Lists and Games" and once I started doing it I just couldn't stop...so...thank you very much, Bunny! ;)

I also want to thank JTJeans (aka Cutie), all the members of The Bear Family...it only lasted for a few days but you guys are all great: Mr. Undertaker (aka Drop), CanadianFonzie (aka Poppa bear), Anderson (aka as Andy), Got Blood? and MadManMarz (aka Mikey).

I was kinda scared about posting at the (infamous) "Person Above You" thread cause I thought you guys would kick me out of it....but you have always been sweet and kind to me...all of you! And I had a great time there! So...thank you aerokissfloyd, Grizz, Shoe, specialkilla, shorty (email me...I lost your add!) and everyone else...I wish we could've talked more...I am deeply going to miss you guys.

I hope we get to talk soon...wherever it is...I know it's not gonna be the same, but I'd like to keep in touch (I already do with some of you but it would be great to hear from everyone). So...please email me...I will reply asap. Promise! :)

Congratulations to Blake and Brenna for keeping such an awesome community up...you guys did a really great job!

I'll miss the Forum so badly...
:(

I'll never forget you guys!

It's a real pity that the site is crashed and the forum is gone. It was so entertaining and interesting, to read so many great people sharing their thoughts and ideas. It was a great page, and i share my thoughts and total respect to the Friday the 13th webpage. Jason forever!

I was never a visitor to the forums because of all the bullshit you had to go through just to add a thought to one of the message boards, however I did enjoy the main site tremendously and am saddened to see an official site dedicated to a horror icon completely wiped out. The Death Curse here.

Though I haven't been actively visiting the forum for the past few months, this comes as a total shock. Just earlier this week I was playing the "Jason12's mom phone call" mp3 I kept...Man, that was awesome. I also found a recording of my call into Andrew's brother's radio show. Much more embarassing material there, but still a fond memory of mine. Not to mention I reminisce about Campe 2 almost every day...Experiences like that are extremely hard to forget.

To tell you the truth, these are just a few of my many, MANY unforgetable experiences I take with me from this place. Furthermore, I've met some of my best and most interesting friends through this site's chatroom, and I still talk to most of them today through AIM. I've learned and experienced so much more than I ever would have otherwise by frequenting this site for ...what is it, 6 or 7 years now? And I actually think this was the second message board I ever registered on! It's just *always been* to me, and it is very disheartening to see it go out like this.

It's been fun, guys and gals. I wish you all well. If you would like to converse with me, send me an email at thedeathcurse@hotmail.com. Thanks, Brenna and Blake, for all you've done to make this site wonderful and for all the great memories I have because of its existence.

Cheers,

Ryan

Wow, I am really saddened by this news. What makes me even sadder is that I never really got a chance to get to know anyone. I've been a member for 4 years, and I never really developed a friendly relationship with anyone. It's sad.

Well, I hope that someone purchases the domain, and that the forums will be "re-born" but that's wishful thinking.

I'll see the lot of you later. Really wish I got to know some of you. Adios, farewell, goodbye.

Wow, this is really hard to believe. I've been coming to this forum for a good 6 years now. I never thought anything could happen to stop my visiting this great community.
I know that my contributions to the forum were somewhat limited, but I had a great time chatting with all of you guys whether it be over something fun in the way of Friday the 13th, the world of horror, film in general or even serious things like life and politics. You're all a great bunch of people and I wish you all the best of luck.
And I also want to thank Blake and Brenna for keeping the site going for as long as they did. Not only did they contribute to our little community, but they were there making sure the site was up and running, pretty much 24/7, not to mention making sure that all of our discussions were remaining civil.
I'll miss our little site here. I haven't contributed much in recent months due to things keeping me busy out of my internet related world, but I greatly enjoyed my time here. Like my profile used to say, this really was the best internet community I've ever come across.

Cheers, ladies and gents.

This was the first message board I joined, and probably the best.

I've met several people here that I've bonded with and consider to be close friends now.

I know some may remember me as an argumentative jerk (and possibly deservingly so), but even in the arguments I had with people on the board, I always enjoyed the spirited discussion with a wide range of diverse personalities.

I tend be a very passionate debator, I apologize to anyone on the board that I offended, but even the even the lowest points I had on the board I'll still remember fondly. There was never really a bad time here.

Thanks to all the admins/mods, it's been a great five years, and I wish you all the best. Hopefully I'll still keep interacting with most of you on other boards, myspace, aim, etc...
Other forums I frequent are SuperHeroHype, HouseofJigsaw, Official Halloween Message Board, and JoBlosMovieClub.

Specialkilla here.

Wow, I just can't believe the Forum is gone. I first came onto the forum back in March of 2005. I had just purchased my own computer and I was looking up horror sites on the internet and that's when I was introduced to Friday the 13th The Forum.

At first I skimmed through the Forum just to check things out and I really enjoyed the enviroment that Blake and Brenna had created. So I signed up as the Killa you all know and made new friends in the process. Soon after that I told my niece who you all know as shorty about the forum and she too signed up.

After awhile The Forum became my home away from home. I could always come here to vent my problems, talk sports, wrestling, music and movies and sometimes even try to give some advice to others in need.

Grizz, Remi, Fonzie, MMM, ChoKo, Jack Bauer, Grave, Dre, Hugo, DV, Hackslash, BoilerRoomBrawler, AKF, Girlychaos, Joe, Denzil, MJ and anyone else I have forgotten, I want to say good luck to your future achievements and god bless. I'll never forget any of you. And you along with the Forum will always have a place in my heart.

Good Luck and Godspeed Everyone!

Some of my best ideas have been posted here, and some of the finest friends I have, I met right here on this forum. I'll really and truly miss this place. I cannot even begin to believe that the community is gone. It's been a great year being a member here, and a huge thanks to Blake, Brenna, and every other hardcore Jason junkie that made this place possible. I don't give a damn if it's gone or not, this will always be Jason's place on the web. I'll miss all of you.

Violent VicTiM here, but for the past few months you may know me as I'm All The Rage. Yea, sure I made another account, but cut me some slack. It took me two years and a rejected jail thread before I actually did.

This forum showed me how much of a dick I really was. When moderators weren't on, I'd go and look at my old posts and realized what a dickwad I was. When I rejoined, I set out to not be that dick I once was, and hopefully reconnect with some of the people that I loved on this site, and win over some of the others that were set on me being the biggest fuckdouche alive. A lot of years, a few lost ones, and a couple of months later I see that I truly will miss this site. You all are awesome, and taught me to type with proper grammar. The site was more than a forum it was like a extended family we spoke to each other about out personal problems and helped each other out.

last year when I went though a year of hell you guys were there and I can't thank you enough for that.

I talked about things there i would never of said anywhere else to the fear of been ridiculed for it and found you didn't do that but others were in the same situation.

anyway to all of you Jeans killa Choko Denzal and of course the 2 who made it all possible Blake and Brenna

I hope we can find somewhere where we can keep in touch and it's good to see some members have made forums to try and do just that let's hope somehow out site will be back but until then see ya later

Hey kiddies, it's your Grandpa Seth here.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that this feels a little weird. Since around 1999, fridaythe13thfilms.com has been my "home" as it were on the 'net. Now it's no more. Everything must come to an end eventually, yes, but I'm not just losing some website; I've had the pleasure and honor of meeting some of the finest people because of this place. And while my ties to those people aren't likely to be severed anytime soon, it does tug on the heartstrings a bit that the place where we all came to know each other is now a memory.

So, thanks Blake and Brenna for all the time, effort, and resources the two of you put into turning some little site about a slasher series into not only the best site for that series on the internet, but for cultivating the small collection of fans into a large, thriving, vibrant, and diverse community. If anyone ever wants an example of how the internet can be more than just a bunch of people hiding behind screennames and spewing inane banter back and forth, all I have to do is mention this site.

is fucking disgusted about this folks. I thought Blake just put up some oh-so-smart lame-ass new art splash screen. You surprised me Blake; felt like I woke up in the morning to take a piss and someone stole my toliet and my dick. I was dispressed all day.

Shit, just the observation of a forum error screen and notion that I can't get onto the forum because it's down for the day sends me into a bitter tirade. I don't know how I will survive without Friday Forum as my homepage, lol. Christ, I get basically all my world and life news and knowledge from the site. Everything I know and probably never needed to know about Friday saga, plus: everything Horror Movies (old and current), Music, TV, Novelty World News, Who Famous Just Died, Computer Help, New Web Sites to investigate, Upcoming Merchandise, Who Just Made A New Jason Costume...etc...All of that I received from this forum. This place was so inclusive, and all-purpose stop. I don't know how I functioned without it.

I will definatley miss knowing the most current news about movies in production, having all the links and updates from all corners of the net on one easy forum. No hunting necessary. It will be much harder now for me to pass brand new pre-production/insider information I gathered "here" off as my own to impress friends as a smart-ass. I've been frequenting this board seemingly forever, but have been a member for 6 (at least) years. This was a great homepage and great outlet for me to spread my hate anonymously on seemingly every topic (but mostly recent movie reviews- to make myself appear as some know-it-all critic). I will miss spitting venom at my internet nemesis JudasDracula. You are truely a worthy asshole adversary. (KillingVector will humorously agree). Esten always impressed me with his Nightmare and all-things Freddy knowledge, as did Scarecrow for the Hellraiser realm. I haven't felt this offended since I found out the NightOfTheCreeps site went under, like 8 years ago, lol. This reminds me of the time Hotmail gave me internet-HIV and I lost like 5 years of stored e-mails. I can't go back and check the record of all the history of posts I made to this forum. Such a shame about the contingency here. I will sincerely go through withdrawl without a comprehensive resource and shrine to visit and re-visit all things Jaon, Ferddy, Cucky and Letherface. I still remember how relieved I was "Eric Draven" wasn't taken when I signed on.

Thanks Blake and Brenna for the opportunity and outlet.

Well, what can I say that hasn't been said already? It's really sad to see this go. I don't think I ever thought this place would ever go down EVER! This has defitnatly been a part of my life. Like I mentioned when I asked to be brought back on the forum, you never realize how much you "appreciate" a place till it's gone. Also how big a role this forum, which some might look at it as just an internet webpage and nothing of importance, can actually touch and bring people together.

It's been great being back and meeting some new people that I never talked to before and or even if they were here before I got booted didn't get to know some till after I came back. Like others feelings about it going to suck not having a place to come read, and discuss things. I've been waiting to start up another discussion about Ninja Gaiden Sigma but now won't ever be able to do that unless I go to some other board with a bunch of immature people.

I think what made this forum stand out so much more then other forums I've been to and even used at one time was the rules and maturity level. That's what made this board so GREAT! People were able to discuss things without worrying about being bashed because they were "new/noob" and or have to make comments in every single thread before being taken seriously and or even acknowledged. I'll probably never go to any other forum ever again unless someone or a group from this board get together to make another one or reopen these ones.

What I enjoyed about this board as well was being able to feel comfortable with posting personal things and or looking for suggestions about personal issue's and even a place to just come talk and let things out and get support from others. That's one thing I'm going to miss.

I have a strong feeling that we'll all be back on another similar forum or maybe like a "F13thforums A New Beginning" or something like that nature. I joined when it originally was the "Star" board then stayed here up till now which is sadly the end... Hopefully just a short time...

My new place was defitnatly in the "Video Games, Sports/UFC-MMA, TV/Movies - HD/BR-DVD" sections but probably "The Party Cabin" as a whole. This was my place to learn about new info on things and even just learning about new interesting websites and or things and hobbies.

So with that, if ANYONE from here would like to keep in touch with me about ANYTHING feel free to keep in touch. Also, I know it's a long shot right now, but maybe once some people have had some time to think about everything as a whole and decide to get together and re-open these forums or another one that's done with the same general aspects of the F13th forum as well as the same members/leaders, I'd love to know about it and would be back in a heart beat. As well as THANK YOU BLAKE & BRENNA for even making all this possible. If it wasn't for you two then I don't think we would have ever had such an awesome forum like this was. There was and still many out there, but this destroys all of them hands down. Also Thanks again for allowing me to come back and "un-banning" me. I'm really grateful for being able to be a part of these boards again, I'm just sad that it's having to come to an end. I couldn't even imagine how much of your, lives, time, money, stress, work, and everything else that you all had put into these boards from the very beginning to the very end. I'm sure I speak for everyone and we appreciate everything you guys did for us in even maintaining these forums for this long.

Also thanks to the mod's who took time our of their lives to keep this a sane, fun, mature forum to be a part of.

I would like to also thank the people who voted for me to be able to come back to these forums, and to the one's who might have been doubtful or worried about me coming back, I hope I was able to change your mind and prove to you I was a completely different person then the one you knew that got "banned" to the one that I am now who was "un-banned".

I'll defitnatly be keeping in touch with the one's that I talk to and game with now..

I'll come by the chat when i get more time as long as it's up.

Take care everyone.

Titan here

I've been a member of the board since August of 2001. In that time I have made many friends and met some interesting people. However none closer than Grizzlyman. He became like a brother to me. Also I have had the pleasure to read opinions of many movies I have watched or haven't even heard of and would interested in seeing. I know when I purchased a movie this is the first place I would come to read up on it. I will surely miss it. Good luck to everyone and it was definatly a pleasure to have this board with all of you. Remember Titan will live on, such as everyone else.

Hey, this is DarkSideOTMoon here-I've had a time I will never forget on this site. I'll miss all of you, even if I barely got to know you. My proplems with my ex have been resolved and I'll keep on living the Jason lifestyle. Adios, amigos.

This makes me very sad. I rarely posted, but I loved visiting the F13 Forum because even though I didn't know any of you personally, I valued each and every one of your opinions. This just...well this just sucks. Even though everyone that reads this probably won't have any clue who I am, I must say that I enjoyed hanging in the shadows with you guys. You're good people. Blake, Brenna, and all the posters brought life to the greatest forum on the net. Be proud of that. Be very proud. Take care...

What happened to the message board is terrible, I'm sorry what became of it and I wish that this was all just a bad dream.

I first found the forum in the summer of 2003. I went on there to read Freddy vs. Jason news, and to chat about it and I really enjoyed my time on the forum. It was one of my favorite places to post at. There were very nice people there and there was law and order there too. So many forums nowadays allow posters to say, do and post pictures of whatever they want and get away with it. It's hard to feel safe anywhere these days.

I know I did some stupid things on it around two summers ago around this very time and I'll never forgive myself for that and will always view it as a dark period in my life, but you guys forgave me and welcomed me back a year ago and I appreciated that very much and still do for that matter.

I enjoyed the conversations there, loved reading all the latest news in what was going on in regards of the Jason Voorhees character and loved talking about Halloween and posting Halloween pics. Halloween certainly won't be the same this year. I even debate now if I want to dress up as Jason just because dressing up as him meant I could come on the forum and post pics and look at everyone else's.

I'll truly miss the forum, but I'll never forget it. I don't think there will ever be another forum like it and it will never be truly replaced.

Thank you everyone for all the memories and I hope to see some of you around cyber space one day.

If anyone for any reason wants to contact me, my e-mail is Zeeboe82@aol.com. My AOL SN is Zeeboe82 and my my space is: http://www.myspace.com/planetgilson

Thanks again everyone and take care of yourselves.

Psychoticninja here.

Wow... so many emotions, so so many things to say. I joined this forum in 2003 I think? This forum... i truly, truly loved visiting the forum every day and reading up on everything that was going on, be it in the Crystal Lake Gazette, Personal Lists & Games, Tv & Movie Couch or even Recent and Upcoming films, it was always so interesting to see different people's arguments and reactions to whatever the topic and situation was. I just wanted to point out that I also really enjoyed reading discussions in the Gazette because alot of the times the arguments represented there were very deep and they contained alot of people's real emotions on topics e.g. the discussion that was going on when Saadam got hung. The jail was also another contraversial place on the forum. For me that was truly unique the whole idea of the 'jail' system. I'll never forget earlier this year the whole issue with Wild Pegasus Kid being in jail and how much attention it brought out with brought out the worse in some people. I found it personally to be a public bashing on him, but I guess all of that is part of the memories of what i remember happened on the forums that made the fridaythe13thforums SO unique. It was events such as this that made me realise how important it was and how close I felt to members within the community. On that note, I'm just thanking all of the mods that kept the peace and for cleaning up the boards with their ever prevalent vigil.

Another thing i really loved this forum for was how active it was. If I posted a topic today, by tomorrow I would be guaranteed (in msot cases) to get a response. And I loved how people weren't afraid to get personal on this forum. I guess that's why I appreciated The Campfire section so much because I not only love helping people who needs advice, but I also learnt alot from everyone there. Even times when I myself needed a little help, I got support. I think this is one thing that everyone really cherished and I know I would miss the fact that i had somewhere to turn when i needed advice for anything,

So so many things are going through my head and I'm frustrated because words can't really explain how much this forum really meant. I'm also sad that I never got to meet people on this forum because of how far away I live (Trinidad & Tobago) and I would've honestly loved to meet with you guys. Sigh....

And of course I can't forget about the infamous fridaythe13thforums personalities I noticed over the years. Alot of people have posted here and some are still missing... Thanks to Brenna & Blake, who i dubbed the Mommy Brenna and Daddy Blake. And how i could forget people like the infamous Jeans, Grandpa Seth, French Friday, The Reverend Tegoth (did i spell tha right?), El Diablo, Hood, Bannarama, Choko, 5th Golden Girl, Zombie, Tyrone Biggums, Jenosis and soo so soooo many others that I'm just failing to mention right now, but all of you guys I noticed and enjoyed being in your company! One person I want to say special thanks to is Grizzlyman. He always extended an extra helping hand whenever talking to me, I mean to him it may not have been anything out of the regualr he wouldn't have done for someone else, but I truly appreciated it. I just wished i would've talked to him more.

Enough of my blubbering. Just wanted to say it truly was a good ride and if you guys are doing something even remotely similar to the old forums, please email me/contact me somehow and let me know.

jayTL here,
I haven't really been personal with too many of you. But I have been more and more active of late. To see this happens really depresses me. We need to get together, and buy the domain/ server and rebuild this back to it's original beauty. The Most official Friday the 13th website gone? I'm not going to accept that. Way too many people, moments, memories WILL NOT go down in [server] flames! After about a year looking at all the cool FT13 stuff, I realized it wasn't a Friday the 13th page...it was EVERYTHING! I'm not going to go post on BD, or the Halloweenmovies board. Ill just wait for someone to get in contact with me. Just tell me how much you need for the server/domain, and Ill help as much as I can

Spawn of Evil.

For some reason I actually expected this place to sorta always be around. Falling maybe from owner to owner to owner, maybe. You know, like the mafia. Except with banning.

I was actually thinking the other day about Campe 2 and how I couldn't remember how certain people's voices sounded anymore, and it made me very sad.

I've been here since October 2001, which I remember as both the month after 9/11 and the month the very first New Friday was released. I also remember it as the fall where I was 13. In the coming winter, I'll be turning 20.

And as lame as it may sound, this was a pretty fucking good place to spend those awkward teen years.

This is absolutely awful to hear. I've been a pretty regular lurker on the message boards for the past eight or nine years. I remember so many things from this site. The community that was created here was completely unlike that of any other that I've seen online. The efforts to keep everything civilized consistantly always impressed me.

I'll especially miss all of the updates that I used to get here. I'd find out about movies, shows, video games, and wrestling months, sometimes years (Jason X) before they actually happened.

I didn't make any friends here because I never posted much, but I have a myspace account at www.myspace.com/joefinn if anyone's interested.

I hope that everyone who has been a part of the boards and the site itself finds fortune in their future. Good bye.

In 2001 I made a move to SoCal after eleven years in a boonies town of Washington state. I was 16 at the time and it all came so unexpectedly. It was very difficult for me even then to socialize with people I had been around for my entire childhood. Only one true friendship has withstood time from that era. I moved to a desert, to a new life that proved terrifying. My lack of social skills and problems with anxiety/depression lead me to skip enrolling in a new high school and obtaining my equivalency instead. For the following two years I spent most of my time at THE forum/chat talking with B&B, Drew, Emma, Rob, Dave, and all the frequenters. Since I hadn't a job or a will I found many places, many communities based around an interest and it wasn't until F13th Forum that one caught my eye. All that time in chat or on the forum, believe it or not, helped me develop several things that should have been confronted many years ago. I had never interacted with people THAT real. I chalk up Camp2 and the wedding as two of the best times I've had. Life-affirming extravaganzas. And as much as this is starting to sound like a product placement, the experience attributed to me taking on a job which I've maintained for several years and better shaping the relationships with people close in my life. In this community most people had a great sense of humor, but also listened when it mattered. And we all know sometimes that's all it takes. What truly counts about this place, as others have noted, was the amount of people not hiding behind a pseudonym, but sharing their lives, their interests, their triumphs and their tragedies. Blake and Brenna are (were) surely the heart that attracted so many people to sign up for a message board dedicated to finding out if a hockey-mask wearing zombie/tard/woodsman killer pooped or not. I shall miss it. I owe you all one (you know who you are).

I've been a regular of the Friday forums, in all its different forms, for about a decade. Saw the final days of Edward Washington's involvement with FridayThe13th.com, and been around for all of Blake & Brenna's reign. It was practically the only forum I posted to regularly, and that speaks to the community that had been built over the years. It's a very, very sad thing to see that it will forever be disbanded. Nothing can be done about it, and all that can be said are fond farewells. Don't know where I'm gonna go for my daily discussions on everything under the sun. Can't replace a lost community. God of Thunder here. Damn, this was a shock. When I joined this place in October 2005, I did not know how much it would grow on me. I guess you could thank Grizzlyman, as this place was a reunion for him and I, as we had not talked since sometime in 2003. You guys welcomed me with kind words, and I enjoyed coming here very much. I loved talking about KISS with people here as well, that was a lot of fun. Whenever I was bored, I could always count on The Party Cabin to feature a hilarious true story or a video that would make me laugh. The Campfire provided some very interesting discussions, some funny, some sad. Polls, Lists, and Game was a great forum as well. I will miss all of you guys, it sure has been nice talking with yall. I enjoyed talking about various horror movies and heavy metal bands with yall, and I will miss it. I do hope that one day it will return. I'm sorry I didn't come here that much during the last few months... a lot has been happening in my life lately that lessens internet time. That and I am spending more time with friends and family these days. This was an awesome forum though, I have so many memories of it. I will miss it, and the people on here.

Grizzlyman- Dude, it was awesome talking to you. The F13 board provided a reunion for you and me, and I'm glad I could talk with you about Grizzly and other movies. I really hope that your film company grows, and maybe one day we can shoot some stuff for it. Stay cool man!

Fear Death- It was great talking to you as well about movies like Grizzly. You were one of the few people on the board my age. Thanks for the compliment about my writing, and who knows... maybe it will make a decent career fo rme someday. Here's to hopin' "Claws" indeed gets a proper DVD release! Stay cool.

Redheadloversunite- Man, I really enjoyed talking with you about stuff, it was a lot of fun. I really hope that your songs will be hits some day. It was awesome making fun of the things that Pat Robertson said on TV, some of it was really, really stupid. It was great talking with you, and I hope we can talk some more sometime! Keep rockin!

specialkilla- It was excellent talking with you as well. It was awesome being a part of the Killa's Crew. It sucks, though, that we did not talk more than we did. Keep rockin'!

CanadianFonzie- You were one of the first people I talked to here, it was great shooting the shit about KISS. I hope that you found the Rock the Nation DVD, as I remember you telling me you could not find it when it was first released. Stay cool!

Kissarmyman- It was great shooting the shit about KISS with you as well man. Here's to hoping for a new KISS album, and keep rockin!

JOE- Dude, we didn't talk NEAR as much as we should have. But, you were really coool. I hope that you write that book about the stalker, and that it someday becomes a bestseller! Stay cool!

Grave Digger- We did not talk enough, either. But, it was cool knowin' ya. Let's hope that someday Phantasm 5 gets made! It was awesome that we had the Board Mafia, even though we didn't do anything with it. Oh well. But, keep rockin.

MadmanMarz- Man, it was GREAT talkin with you about 80's slasher movies and thrash. Keep collectin those movies, and keep thrashin'! Stay cool, dude!

Well guys, it was nice knowing all of you. Drop me a line sometime!

I was a lurker here for about 8 months and this board was a lot of fun. It provided something to keep my mind occupied during a rough time, the discussions were intelligent, some were hilarious; this board had a great group of people, and it's sad it came to an end. I don't know if this site has been mentioned, but here it is:
www.horrorspeak.com
This site has a slasher section where F13 is discussed in some depth, along with other slashers, much like the threads on this forum. Everyone take care :)

Hey guys, John Gray here... you know they say all good things come to an end right? Well, even though we all didn't get along so well... I just had to say you kept this shit going for 10 years. That says it all... good luck in your future endeavors. You know where to find us.

I was only around about a year or so (it's a shame I didn't find this board sooner), but it was a really cool place to hang out and talk about some of my favorite films. Hats off to the moderators and staff for doing such a great job with it.

And since I didn't hear about it until after the board went down - here's one last heads-up for all of you Part 3 fans: This Friday the 13th, the Hickory Ridge Cinema in Cleveland is showing Part 3 in 3-D 9:30 and midnight. They're also screening it at 10:00 Saturday and Sunday.

Good luck to everybody, and maybe I'll see some of you on the IMDB boards, or anywhere else Jason fans may roam.
